"Innocence" is divided into nineteen scenes, intertwining the lives of two illegal immigrants from Africa, a blind stripper, a financially strained couple and their diabetic mother, a woman claiming to be a murderer's mother, and a female philosopher. Additionally, there are scenes featuring a choir or unidentified speakers. While the script maintains a coherent dramatic structure, the characters' situations form different dialectical relationships with the proposition of "innocence/guilt." Through the arrangement of character frameworks, the playwright explores ethical issues, allowing the script to present multiple perspectives without descending into didacticism while portraying the complexities of reality.
